.NET simconnect error

Posting for info, since WIN10 1903 update which introduced .NET v4.8 the following error is persistently logged.

The time logged would indicate this occurs when realtimeflight is closed on takeoff.

Application: RealTimeFlight.exe

NET simconnect error

#3 Post by Andrew » Mon Jul 06, 2020 8:22 am

Hi.
P3dv4 crashes constantly.5 with this error. Help me solve the problem. It's a shame, after a few hours of flight, to launch RealTimeFlight Manager and get a simulator flight because of it. I see I'm not the only one with it. And because there is no answer, you haven't solved the problem. Make up your mind.
With respect.

Приложение: RealTimeFlight.exe
Версия платформы: v4.0.30319

Hi,
As we discussed in our email, you don't need to run Real Flight Time Manager during your flight. It should be used when your airplane is on the ground at your departure airport and airplane speed is less than 40knts. For during your flight. Time Zone Fixer will set the time for you automatically. If the time of your destination airport is not correct, it means Time Zone Fixer is not working properly and you need to check your Time Zone Manager configs and settings.
Please note that your Time Zone Fixer BGL files for Prepar3d V5 must be at least 15Mb in size if they are smaller than that you have to get the latest patch from control panel and update your files.

Hi,
Please provide us more info. How do you run RTFM (before running your Sim or after running that)? When did that crash happen?

I start RTFM before I run the Sim, RFTM starts automatically with my SimStarter NG.
Will observe when the crashes happen exactly.

For me the issue persists, now in P3Dv5 and WIN10 2004, as per my original post in that with RTFM started before the sim the noted error is logged when the aircraft takes-off.

If however I close RTFM using the exit button before departure there is no error, maybe the application is 'killed' on takeoff rather than a clean close.

I have never experienced a sim crash due to this and could not say if it has the potential to cause problems for other applications.

Thanks for the info. We will check that later but before we can find the reason and make necessary changes please close RTFM after your sim is fully loaded and before take off (you have correct local time at your departure airport).
