Addon airports

Hi - I just subscribed to this program a few days ago. I like the idea of it for sure as there is always way too much snow this time of year. I added numerous addon airports in the manager but I am not seeing any difference. For example, I added FB KIAD which is full of snow while there is no snow around the airport. I have updated the manager as well and wanted to see if I was doing something wrong as it says it should show within 24hrs. I am using 'Live' mode. Thanks for any help!! Eric

Unfortunately, high-quality airport addon designers integrate season definition into their sceneries and nothing can't override those settings. Season Manager is fully compatible with FTX products like FTX global, OpenCL, and region products and it can manage seasons correctly but a single high-quality airport addon doesn't let season manager to work correctly. When you add an airport into the Season Manager program, it creates a transparent patch around the airport and it means it can't remove the snow form that airport but it will be more natural-looking to have snow outside the airport too (not a single snowy airport in the middle of not snowy area)
At the moment, until airport developers want to find a solution and fix this problem (not using wrong season definitions to develop their addons) the only way to fix this is to disable those airport addons that have a snow problem and use the flight simulator's standard airports instead. In this way, you will have the correct season with fewer details. You can make the best decision and disable or enable an airport by deciding which one is more important to you: the season or details. When the snow reached that area you can enable that airport again and have snow and details together.

Hi - Thank you for the response. I understand the snow cannot be removed from the addon airport which is fine. I guess I am misunderstanding what happens when I add an airport into the Season Manager. What does it mean to add a transparent layer? I guess I may have thought that it would add additional snow around the addon airport to make it look less out of place but maybe I am not understanding what this feature is supposed to do? As I mentioned in my KIAD example, that was added to the manager but there does not appear to be any additional snow added outside of the airport. Thanks...if I am misunderstanding what is supposed to occur...I apologize. I do in fact use ORBX Global and OpenLC.

Hi again - I just wanted to attach a pic of what I am seeing. This is KIAD and it was added to the manager but there is not any snow added around the airport. None of the airports I have added have the surrounding snow layer. Thanks for any help!

Adding airport into Season Manager won't add Snow around the airport. It only makes a transparent layer around the airport and it means if your flight simulator's default Season (Or any other scenery or addon managing that area has Snow then you see Snow but if it doesn't have any snow then you don't see any snow there. In your case, the airport addon itself set to show snow but the surrounding area doesn't have any snow.

OK...I misunderstood what it did. So an airport like FB KIAD that hard-codes snow really does not even need to be added it appears. Thanks for clarifying!
